The Nicholas Cummings Chair in Organized Behavioral Healthcare Delivery

Established in 1999 in the Psychology Department of the University of Nevada, Reno, the Nicholas Cummings Chair and associated faculty adopted an innovative curriculum in behavioral health as primary care, leading to a Ph.D. in clinical psychology plus a certificate in behavioral healthcare administration. Between 1999 and 2007 dozens of such doctoral candidates have been graduated and were remarkably well received in the marketplace. The Cummings Chair has been instrumental in seeding the program in other APA approved doctoral programs in clinical psychology, and the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology graduated its first class in the Cummings Curriculum in 2003.
